4.3 Station Features and Operation

Data Line Security

Your extension is protected against interruptions from the "Call Waiting," "Hold Recall,"
and "Executive Busy Override" features. Data communication devices, such as
computers and facsimiles, operate uninterrupted.
Setting / Canceling
Any Telephone
Lift the handset or press
SP-PHONE/MONITOR.
Hang up or press
SP-PHONE/MONITOR.
Conditions
• Automatic Privacy
Assigning Data Line Security always offers conversation privacy unless Privacy
Release is executed.
• If one extension in a conversation has set Data Line Security, it applies to the both
extensions.
• With the KX-T7431, KX-T7433, KX-T7436 or KX-T7235, you can execute this feature
using the display operation.
• Distinctive Dial Tone
Distinctive Dial Tone is sent to the user on the extension with this feature when the
extension user goes off-hook.
