Incidence
of Harm to the Telephone
Lines
Should
terminal
equipment
cause harm to the telephone
network,
the telephone
company
shall, where
practical.
notify
the customer
that temporary
discontinuance
of service may be required.
However,
where
prior
notice
fs not practical.
the telephone
company
may temporarily
discontinue
service
forthwith.
if such
action
is reasonable
in the circumstances.
In case of un-notified
temporary
discontinuance
of setice.
the telephone
company
shall:
(A)
Promptly
notify
the customer
of such temporary
discontinuance
of service.
(B)
Afford
the customer
the opportunity
to correct
the situation
which
gave rfse to the temporary
discontinuance.
(C)
Inform
the customer
of the right
to bring
a complaint
to the Commission
pursuant
to the
procedures
set out in Part 68 of the FCC Rules and Regulations.

Equipment

Availability
of telephone
information
Technical
information
on interface
parameters
and specffkations
not set by FCC Rules. including

of ringers

may be connected
to a particular

to render
any customer's
terminal
equipment
Incompatible
with
telephone
company
communications
facilities
or require
modification
or alteration
of such
terminal
equipment
or otherwise
materially
affect its use or performance.
