SEARCH: Activate automatic station search

After you have switched on the FM radio for the first time, you must carry out an automatic or manual station
search to find and save any radio stations.
To start the automatic station search:
1. Switch on the DVD machine and press the FM button to select FM radio as an operating mode for the device.
2. Press the SEARCH button to start the automatic station search.
3. The machine starts the station search beginning from the lowest frequency.
4. If a radio station is found, the station search automatically stops. The machine has found the best position to
store the signal. The radio stations which are found are saved in sequence. Each radio station receives a preset
number (memory location) in the system memory.
• If the signal is too weak for normal reception, the machine continues the automatic station search. The
radio station found is not stored.
5. After the frequency of the relevant radio station has been saved, the machine automatically starts searching for
the next station.
6. To cancel the automatic station search, press the SEARCH button again.

T/F and SAVE: Actitvate manual station search

You can also search for a stored radio station manually.
To start the automatic station search:
1. Switch on the DVD machine and press the FM button to select, FM radio as the operating mode for the ma-
chine.
2. Press the T/F button to display an entry field where you can enter the frequency of the station you wish to
search for.
3. Using the digit buttons 0-9, enter the frequency of the radio station you wish to search for.
• You can enter an FM frequency in a range from 87.50 MHz to 108.00 MHz.
4. Press the TUNE+/ and /TUNE- buttons to search the frequency dial up and down or to adjust the frequency
of the radio stations which have been found
Each time you press TUNE+/ and /TUNE-, the frequency changes by 0.05MHz.
5. If you have found a station, press the digit buttons 0-9/10+ to allocate a specific preset number (memory loca-
tion) to the station in the system memory. For example, if you want to store the radio station you have found
under preset number (memory location) 25, press the 10+ button twice and then the 5 button.
6. Then press the T/F button to enter the frequency of the radio station which you have found e.g. enters 99.3
MHz as 993.
7. Then press SAVE to save the radio station frequency 99.3 under preset number 25.
Digit buttons 0-9/10+ and CH+/ / /CH -: Select radio station (switch on)
To switch on a stored radio station (select):
1. Switch on the DVD machine and press the FM button to select FM radio as the operating mode for the device.
2. If you know the preset number (memory location) of the radio stations you are searching for, simply press the
corresponding digit buttons 0-9/10+ to directly select the radio station. For example if the radio station you are
searching for is saved under preset number 25, press 10+ twice and then the 5 button.
You can switch between stored radio stations up or down the dial by pressing CH+/ and /CH-.
If the radio reception is poor, try to re-position the FM aerial.
