IPedge SERVER SETUP

This list is a summary of the installation steps for each server. The steps
in detail follow.
Connect the IPedge server to a PC or network.
IPedge EC and EM servers - Connect the network cables to the
eth0, eth1, and IPMI connectors before the server power is
applied.
IPedge EP server - Connect the network cable to the NIC
connector before the server power is applied.
Apply power to the IPedge server.
From a PC login to Enterprise Manager.
Note:
Pop-ups must be enabled on the PC.
Set the system time and assign the NTP source.
Set the IPedge server IP address.
Note:
The IPedge server requires a static IP address.
The default IP address of the IPedge sever, as shipped, is
192.168.254.250, the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. To login to
Enterprise Manager enter http://192.168.254.250:8080/oamp into the
browser address line. The User ID is Administrator, the password is
password. The password is case sensitive.
All of these procedures must be performed for every IPedge server.
Note:
When installing a multi-node system install and configure the
Primary node first.
1. Install the IPedge server in a rack or equipment cabinet.
2. Connect the IPedge server to a LAN or connect directly to a PC with a
'cross-over' cable.
3. Power up the IPedge server. Plug in the power cord(s). If there is a
rear panel power switch set it to 1 (on).
4. Press the front panel power button. Initial boot-up will require
approximately 8 ~ 10 minutes.
