Alarming

Alarm Inputs

To configure alarm inputs:
1.
Choose Main Menu> Alarm > Alarm Input.
2.
Select a status for each alarm input.
3.
Click OK.
Service Alarms
Motion Detection
The motion detection feature enables a camera to send an
alarm notification to the LRN8640N when a suspicious
motion is detected in a preset area. An alarm is triggered
when the LRN8640N receives the notification. After this, the
"Alarm: Moving" text is displayed on the main screen. Note
that this feature is available only to service alarms.
You cannot enable this feature for a camera on the OSD.
You need to enable this feature on the management
software of the camera.
Configuring a Service Alarm
To configure a service alarm:
1.
Choose Main Menu > Alarm >Service Alarm.
2.
In the displayed Service Alarm dialog box, configure
parameters as required, as shown in the following
figure.

Select an alarm type, for example, Motion
Detection.
2)
Select a source camera and a day.
3)
(Optional) Click Rename to add an alias to the
source camera.
Note that the alias will be displayed together with
the name of the source camera on the Active
Alarm window.
4)
Select one or multiple duration options.
5)
Click Edit.
6)
In the displayed Linkage Edit dialog box, choose a
device to be linked, for example, the source
camera.
7)
Select actions for each duration option.
Note that actions vary according to the type of
linked device.
3.
Click Save.
