Reception
The SFX-32 provides 3 reception modes: AUTO, MANUAL and ANSWER.
AUTO MAN(I PULSE TONE
Set the ] AUTO/MENU] switch to select the AUTO or MANUAL mode.

Press [ANSW~ key to set to the ANSWER mode.
AUTO
The SFX-32 receives incoming fax messages automatically.
The feature switches No. 09 and No. 16 offer you a variety of selections regarding the auto reception mode settings.

Incoming telehpone calls are received by the built-in phone. The telephone rings.
MANUAL
Use this mode if you use the SFX-32 mainly for phone calls.
You can receive an incoming fax message after completing a phone conversation.
Incoming telephone calls are received by the built-in phone and connected extension phone (if any). The telephone
and the SFX-32 both rings.
ANSWER
Use this mode if you expect both phone calls and faxes while you are away.
Incoming phone calls are received by the built-in telephone answering system.
Incoming faxes are received automatically.
