2. Remove the exhaust outer cover 1, gas-
ket 2, exhaust inner cover 3 and gasket

NOTE:
Insert a flat-head screw driver between the
pry tabs to pry off the exhaust covers.

Checking the exhaust cover

1. Check the exhaust cover. Replace the
exhaust cover if cracked or corroded.

Checking the PCV

1. Check the PCV. Replace the PCV if worn
or deformed.
2. Check the grommet. Replace the grom-
met if deformed.
3. Check the spring. Replace the spring if
damaged or deformed.
