Initiating a Multipoint Conference Using the Built-in MCU
Before initiating a multipoint conference using the built-in MCU, enable the built-in MCU
function, that is, Tap
Multipoint call mode to Built-in MCU or AUTO.
There are two methods for initiating a multipoint conference using the built-in MCU. One is the
same as that described in
describes the other method and assumes that you want to invite sites A, B, and C to a multipoint
conference on a DP300 with a built-in MCU.

Step 2 On the Call screen, select site A from the address book or enter the name, IP address, or number
of site A in the text box.

6.3 Joining a Conference

You can join a conference by answering a call or entering the conference access code.
Answering a Call
You join a conference after answering a call on the endpoint. You can configure the endpoint
to answer a call automatically or manually by setting Answer Mode. By default, this parameter
is set to Manual. The differences between the two answer modes are as follows:

If you set Answer Mode to Answer call automatically and the endpoint is not in use
during a conference, the endpoint automatically answers the call.
If Answer Mode is set, the endpoint displays a notification when receiving a call from a
remote site. You can use the touchscreen to answer or reject the call.
