OVERSHOOT SUPPRESSION CONTROL
The overshoot suppression control is a function that decreases the overshoot in the positioning to a machine with high friction.
Use this function when the overshoot does not decrease even after adjusting [Pr. PB07 Model control gain].
7.1

Restrictions on the overshoot suppression control

• The overshoot suppression control is enabled in the position mode.
• When [Pr. PB25.0 Model adaptive control selection] is set to "2" (disabled), the overshoot suppression control cannot be
used.
7.2

Settings of the overshoot suppression control

When using the overshoot suppression control, set a dynamic friction torque or thrust to the servo motor rated speed in [Pr.
PB13 Overshoot amount compensation] as the rated torque in percentage unit. When the response level is low, or when the
torque/thrust is limited, the efficiency of the overshoot suppression control may decrease.
Calculate the dynamic friction torque or thrust to the servo motor rated speed from the torque at the constant speed.
Dynamic friction torque at servo motor rated speed/Thrust [%] = Torque at constant speed [%]
