9.6.1

Connections

The electrical connections on the SINAMICS S120 water-cooled devices must be made with
cables having the cross-section specified in the technical data for the relevant device.
The coolant connection is made using 3/4'' couplings.
The supply and return connections on the SINAMICS devices must be made with flexible,
non-conductive hose (see Section "Materials") so as to eliminate the risk of electrochemical
corrosion, to reduce transfer of vibration and to dampen pressure transients in the coolant.
The hose should be about 1.5 m in length (total of supply and return lines).
The coolant hoses should be connected before the devices are mounted.
