Downloading the configuration data

4.10.1

Principle

Note:
After every download operation, the time and date settings on the fire detection system must be checked on one
of the terminals and correctly set if necessary.

Each station within the system (CC, CI and CT) has its own configuration file which con-
tains details of the specific system structure.
The configuration files must be loaded individually into the various stations. In order to
do this, the maintenance PC must be connected to the station concerned.
The standard and customer texts are automatically loaded into the stations together
with the configuration.
If standard texts are altered (e.g. if software is updated), all existing configuration files
must be reloaded into the relevant stations.
IMPORTANT:
During the downloading procedure, all data stored in the RAM are erased Õ any localiza-
tion data still required must be transferred to the SWE11 beforehand or they will be lost!
Downloading customer texts
If only the customer text is changed, then using the SWE function Comm. " Customer
Text –> CS11 the customer texts can be separately loaded into the stations (without
configuration and standard texts).
Õ Customer texts must be only be downloaded to the CC and CI stations, provided no
customer texts for terminals (station type CT) have been altered. The terminals auto-
matically copy the customer texts from the control unit(s). See also diagram on page
69.
Example:
A system consists of the following:
control unit CC11, C-Bus 1
control unit CC11, C-Bus 2
terminal CT11, C-Bus 5 (all-area operation)
Various customer texts in the areas of both control units have been altered.
The configuration and the standard texts have not changed.

Download customer texts to CC11 (C-Bus 1) and CC11 (C-Bus 2)
The terminal CT11 (C-Bus 5) automatically copies the customer texts from the two control
units. The customer texts do not need to be downloaded to the terminal.
