2.2 Mounting Product Components

This section describes the procedure for mounting the remote service board and connecting
the cable for this product.
Before you start to mount this product, refer to "2.1 Preparations for Mounting This
Product" and carry out the required preparations.

2.2.1 PCI card and internal cable

This item describes the procedure for mounting the remote service board and connecting the
cable for this product.

Electric shock
Before mounting or removing this product from the server
unit, turn the power of the server unit and other connected
devices OFF for safety's sake, and then unplug the power
plug from the power outlet. Also, unplug the power plug of
the AC adapter. If you mount or remove this product with
power still ON, this product might malfunction, emit
smoke, or cause electric shock.
Instructions
・ When removing or attaching the covers on the server
unit, follow the instructions in the User's Manual
provided with the server unit.
・ The PCI card on this product is easily affected by static
electricity. Either place the card on an
electroconductive pad, or put it in its packing bag
immediately after it is removed or immediately before
it is handled.
