5. Press the Therapy on/off button to start therapy. Verify the alarm occurs in approximately 15 seconds.
6. Press the dial to clear the alarm.
7. Set the Patient Disconnect Alarm setting to Off, and press the dial to accept the setting.
8. Return to the Main Menu to exit.
Apnea Alarm Test
1. When in the Provider mode in Standby, scroll between the options to the Therapy screen and set the
mode to S mode.
2. Scroll to the Alarm setting.
3. Press the dial and select the Apnea alarm.
4. Set the time setting to 10 seconds, and press the dial to accept the setting.
5. Press the Therapy on/off button.
6. Trigger a patient breath by holding your hand over the outlet and ensuring the E/I changes on the dis-
play.
7. Verify the alarm occurs after approximately 10 seconds.
8. Press the dial to clear the alarm.
9. Set the Apnea setting to Off, and press the dial to accept the setting.
10. Return to the Main Menu to exit.
Low Minute Ventilation Alarm Test
1. When in the Provider mode in Standby, scroll between the options to the Therapy screen and set the
mode to S/T mode.
2. Connect the device to an approved circuit, Whisper Swivel II leak device, and test lung. Press the Therapy
on/off button
3. Observe the displayed Min Vent parameter, and take note of the value displayed.
4. Scroll to the Alarm setting.
5. Press the dial and select the Low Minute Ventilation alarm.
6. Set the Low Minute Ventilation Alarm to a value greater than the displayed Min Vent parameter on the
Monitoring screen, and press the dial to accept the setting. Verify the alarm occurs. This may take about
30 seconds.
7. Press the dial to silence the alarm, and wait for one minute until the alarm sounds again.
8. Press the dial to clear the alarm.
9. Set the Low Minute Ventilation alarm setting to Off, and press the dial to accept the setting.
10. Return to the Main Menu to exit.
