Floor Weight Bearing
The gross weight of the telepresence system is about 1500 kg. The floor in a telepresence room
is required to bear a weight of 280 kg/m².
Room Height
The height of a telepresence room must meet the requirements for installing the air conditioning,
fire control facilities, and suspended ceiling. After installing the suspended ceiling, the room
height must be 2440 mm to 3000 mm.

3.2 Environmental Requirements

For high-quality audio and video, the illumination, temperature, humidity, air circulation, and
acoustics of telepresence rooms must meet requirements described in this section.
Background Noise
Background noise, also called ambient noise, is any noise signal other than the useful, or desired,
noise signals in an electroacoustic system. Background noise consists of two parts: noise
generated by the acoustics devices and noise generated during audio playing.
In a telepresence room, the background noise level must be ≤ 38 dB (with the door closed and
all equipment turned off) before the telepresence system is installed.
