Motor Cooling

General Information

Two thermistors (NTC) are mounted into the motor winding of 1MS stators to
protect the motor. One sensor must be connected, the other serves as re‐
placement. If a sensor loss, the spare sensor can continue to be used.

● The polarity within a pair of wires is not relevant for the func‐
tioning of the NTC resistor.
● The functionality of the replacement sensor cannot be guar‐
anteed and must be ensured before start-up.
Three temperature sensors are mounted into the motor winding for 1MS sta‐
tors in S010 design. Each sensor exists twice. In the case of a loss of a con‐
nected sensor, the remaining replacement sensor can be connected.

● Please observe the polarity when connecting the KTY84.
● The functionality of the replacement sensor cannot be guar‐
anteed and must be ensured before start-up.
You will find details about dimension and position of the coolant connection in
the particular stator dimension sheet.
Install systems in the cooling circuit for monitoring flow, pressure and temper‐
ature.
The allocation of inlet (IN) and outlet (OUT) can be arbitrarily done and does
not influence the power data of the motor.
