Scanning a document into the PC

There are two ways in which you can scan a whole page. You can either use the ADF (automatic document
feeder) or the Flatbed scanner glass.
If you want to scan and then crop a portion of a page after pre-scanning the document, you need to use the
scanner glass (Flatbed). (See Pre-Scanning to crop a portion you want to scan on page 2-3.)
Scanning a document using the ADF

Load your document.
1 Paper source
2 Picture type
3 Adjust the quality of the scanned picture
4 Page size

Choose Document Feeder from the Paper source drop-down list (1).

Choose the picture type (2).

Choose the Paper size from the drop-down list (4).

If you need advanced settings, click Adjust the quality of the scanned picture (3). You can choose
Brightness, Contrast, Resolution and Picture Type from Advanced Properties. Click OK after you
choose a setting.
