FUNCTION
. An elastic rubber bag (1) containing nitrogen is
fitted inside the accumulator to maintain oil pres-
sure in the circuit to which the accumulator is con-
nected.
OPERATION
. When the engine is running the chamber A of the
rubber bag (1) (containing nitrogen) is compressed
by oil under pressure coming from line B.
. If the oil under in line B falls below the maximum
calibration pressure (even after intensive use), the
rubber bag (1) will expand due to pressure from
the nitrogen it.
