Commissioning

7.1

Requirements

Before commissioning starts, the system components must be installed and wired up.
The following is necessary:
● A SIMATIC S7 CPU / SIMOTION with PROFINET/PROFIBUS interface
● A SIPLUS HCS4300 heating control system, comprising one central interface module
(CIM) and at least one power output module (POM).
7.2
Commissioning
Procedure
1. Switch on the 24 V DC power supply.
2. Switch on the three-phase power supply for the heating control system.
The CIM, POM and, where applicable, the I/O module components of the heating control
system start up. Observe the operating state indicators (see Chapter Process and system
messages, error handling (Page 99)).
The heating control system is in operation.
7.3

Insulation test

Insulation test
Owing to the protective impedances in the device, the insulation resistance of one device
from each phase after grounding is approx. 124 kOhm without a connected load and approx.
70 kOhm with connected heater loads. These values must be taken into account during the
insulation test on the system.
If there are several devices in one circuit, you must allow for the parallel connection of the
impedances. If necessary, you must remove the device from the circuit before the insulation
test.
Due to the protective impedances, the following protective conductor current flows under
normal operating conditions:
Voltage
400 V / 50 Hz
480 V / 60 Hz
