M.1.4 Safety considerations
It is important to follow the procedures defined in this document to maintain the
warranty and avoid:

A safety risk during installation, operation and transit.

Impaired functionality, since increased noise to the sensor would invalidate the
readings as noise test results are logged for every measurement.

M.2 PGA Lock
The product is equipped with a factory-fitted interior PGA transit lock that consists of
two metal locking brackets each secured by two bolts. The PGA lock is engaged for
shipping and one is shown in Figure M-2. The PGA transit lock must be removed as
outlined in Appendix M.2.2 prior to powering on the product to take measurements.
When not in transit, it is recommended to store the lock in the position as shown in
Figure M-3.

If there is ever a requirement to transport the product (or if the product is ever to be laid
horizontally), this lock must be refitted as outlined in Appendix M.2.3.
M.2.1 Required tools
The following tools and fittings as listed in Table M-1 and as shown in Figure M-4
compose the PGA lock and are required to attach/remove it.
