Upgrading Your Tape Blade

Setting the Data Cartridge

IMPORTANT:
As the data cartridge set in the Tape Blade, use our "Data Cartridge".
If you use a data cartridge of other manufacturer, a read/write error
may occur.
While setting the data cartridge, do not turn off the server. This may
cause a malfunction or the damage data.
1.
Make sure that Ready LED on Tape Blade is not blinking (at regular intervals).
2.
Make sure that the write-protect plug is properly set.
3.
Hold the cartridge so that the write-protect plug faces you.
4.
Slide the cartridge into the tape load compartment.
Cartridge loader will draw cartridge into the Tape Blade.
IMPORTANT:
during the cartridge is loaded into the drive. Doing so may cause an
error.
NOTES:
Do not use LTO1 or LTO2 data cartridge not supported by Tape
Blade. If LTO1 or LTO2 cartridge is used, Fault LED lights up and
SCD displays "E".
If the data cartridge is already drawn at eject position and you want
to load it again, remove the cartridge once, then insert it into the slot
again.
Do not change the position for the write protect plug
