2. For disassembly, remove the Slide Cover Unit and eight screws in
the sequence of 1, 2 ~ 4, and 5 ~ 8.
Note: Do not apply excessive force to the screws and carefully
remove them.

* Note for assembly
Tighten the screws in the following sequence.
(1) Tighten the screws 5 ~ 8.
(2) Tighten the screws 2 ~ 4.
(3) Tighten the screw 1.
* Note for tightening screws
When tightening screws, be careful not to apply an excessive
force.
3. Remove the Lower Cabinet.
* Lower Cabinet disassembly procedure
(1) Disengage the upper and the lower cabinets on the right side
(SD slot side) when viewed from the back of the SL-5500.
Since there is no lock pawl in this section, they can be disen-
gaged with a slight force.

(2) Put your finger in the groove between the LCD/Main PWB unit
and the Lower Cabinet, and open and disengage the lock pawl
in the arrow direction.

(3) Put your fingers in the clearance between the upper cabinet
and the LCD/Main PWB unit, and slowly lift and remove the
upper cabinet in the arrow direction A.

(4) Remove the LCD/Main PWB unit from the Lower Cabinet. In
the arrow section, the stereo headphone jack (equipped in the
main PWB) is inserted into the hole in the lower cabinet. Be
careful not to apply an excessive force to that section, and
hold the key side of the LCD/Main PWB unit and slowly lift it
upward to remove it from the Lower Cabinet.
