Introduction
Among the many speed references the G3 can accept are dry contact closures which it can be programmed
to interpret as preset speeds. A maximum of fifteen preset speeds can be accessed via four terminals and a
binary implementation. The following example will program all fifteen preset speeds from 5 Hz for Preset
Speed 1 to 75 Hz for Preset Speed 15 in steps of 5 Hz.
In this scenario, the terminals are assigned a value of a power of two. This value is the number of the preset
speed that is active.
With the following programming, S4, S3, S2, and S1 have values of 2
respectively.
