Error Messages on the LCD Panel

Error messages

Messages are either status messages or error messages. Many common printer problems can be identified
by the lights and messages on the LCD panel. See the following messages to solve problems.

INSTALL THE RIGHT SIDE

INK CARTRIDGE
INSTALL INK CARTRIDGE
Description
The ink cartridge is
nearly expended.
The maintenance tank
is almost full.
The roll paper is almost
finished.
The maintenance tank
is not set in the printer.
Something is
obstructing the ink
cover.
This message appears
when replacing the ink
cartridge.
What to do
Replacement of the ink cartridge is nearly
needed.
Although you can continue printing in INK
LOW situation, it may decrease the print
quality.

Although you can continue printing, you need
to replace the maintenance tank with a new
one immediately.

Replace the roll paper with a new one.
See "Using Roll Paper" on page 29.
Install the maintenance tank.
See "Replacing the Maintenance Tank"
on page 127.
Move the obstruction in front of the ink cover.
After moving the obstruction, then press the
ink cover open button to unlock the ink cover.
Install an ink cartridge.
