Backup and Restoration Using Download Mode

Device system data can be backed up and restored using download mode.

Overview

When the device is replaced or the Main machine internal storage is replaced, the Main machine internal storage data needs to
be backed up/restored.
With the backup function, when you exchange PCB, you can temporarily escape the data kept in PCB and take over to the new
PCB.
This section describes the procedure for backup and restoration using a USB device.
NOTE:
Before replacing the DC Controller PCB, back up its data in service mode. The backed-up data can be restored in service mode
after the replacement, to transfer the setting data, e.g. service mode settings, stored in the old DC Controller PCB.

Backup/Restoration Using a USB Device

You can connect a USB flash drive to the Main machine that has been started in download mode, and backup/restore the
machine's data.
It is possible to back up/restore FLASH PCB, SRAM image data (Sraming) stored in Main machine internal storage and data of
the MEAP Application region (Meapback).
The Main machine back up/restores are done via USB devices. The required USB flash drive is as follows.
• Contain system software for the Main machine
• Be formatted with the FAT file system
• Have 1 GB or larger free space (recommended)
