Item to be Checked
Check V+3R3E.
Check the standby signal.
Check each power-supply IC.
Check the CPU_RST signal.
Check the SYS_CLK (=33.333333 MHz)
signal.
Item to be Checked
Check the connection of the backlight power
connector (CN4801) and the mounting status
of the peripheral parts of the power-supply
circuit for backlighting (IC4802).
Check the SH2_VCK (IC4604-pin 189 =
32~about 33.3 MHz) signal.
Check the SH2_RES (IC4604-pin 88)
signal.
Check the CKIO (IC4604-pin 61 =
about 66 MHz) signal.
Check the power source and signals to
the LCD module (CN4802).
• VAVDD (pin 59), VGL (pin 3),
V+3R3LCD (pin 4), VGH (pin 5)
• DCLK (pin 33 = about 32 MHz),

Corrective Action
The DCDC converter (IC4204) may be loosely
connected with its peripheral devices or a part may
be defective. Correct loose connection. If the
symptom persists, replace the defective part.
If the signal of standby (CN2 pin 10) is L, check the
output of the SW POWER SUPPLY Assy.
If V+12 or V+12A (CN2 pins 1 to 4) is not output,
the SW POWER SUPPLY Assy is defective.
Replace it.
The power IC and its peripheral devices for each
power supply may be loosely connected or a part
may be defective. Correct loose connection.
If the symptom persists, replace the defective part.
If CPU_RST is "L" although the V+3R3_CPU is
normal, the RESET IC (IC11) is defective or the
relevant connection is poor.
Correct loose connection. If the symptom
persists, replace the defective part.
The X2 or Logic IC (IC9) may be loosely connected
with its peripheral devices or a part may be defective.
Correct loose connection. If the symptom persists,
replace the defective part.
Corrective Action
Possible causes are poor connection of the backlight
power connector (CN4801) and defective power-supply
circuit for backlighting. Correct loose connection.
If the symptom persists, replace the defective part.
The GUI CPU (IC4604) may be loosely connected
with its peripheral devices or a part may be defective.
Correct loose connection. If the symptom persists,
replace the defective part.
If SH2_RES is "L" although the V+3R3_SH2 is
normal, the Q4601 is defective or the relevant
connection is poor. Correct loose connection.
If the symptom persists, replace the defective
part.
If CKIO is "L" although the V+3R3_SH2 and
V+1R2_SH2 are normal, the GUI CPU (IC4604)
or X4602 is defective or the relevant connection
is poor. Correct loose connection. If the symptom
persists, replace the defective part.
Check the signals described in the left adjacent
column at GUI CPU (IC4604) and LCD module
to identify a defective part then correct
connection or replace the defective part with
a new one.
