[7] Check mode of servo of the drive unit
A
The following control is enabled when entering "[3] Various displayed information" mode and select "7 Drive operation / error
rate measurement."
This mode consists of "Player operation mode" and "Test operation mode."
<Player operation mode>
Basic operation of servo, such as setup, play, pause, and track search, is carried out.
The measurement of an error rate is also performed.
<Test operation mode>
This mode fine-controls the servo operation step by step.
* The player operation mode starts first, and switch to the test operation mode by the key input.
* The command operated here is for mainly testing mechanism and servo systems and not for the operation of DJ functions

If the operation is completely stopped, the set up will begin and play will start with the PLAY/PAUSE button lighting up.

If the system is in the play mode, the pause mode will be canceled and the play mode will start. If the system is in the pause
mode, the pause mode will be canceled and the play mode will start.
"PLAY or PAUSE" is displayed on the drive condition indication section.
In the case of CD, the track number and time currently tracing are displayed.
In the case of DVD, the number of a layer currently tracing is displayed on the [TRACK] section, and the physical address is
displayed on the [MSF] section.
*: In this mode, the automatic setup is not carried out even if a disc is inserted.
"Play" is not reproduce audio, but is tracing the signal side of a disc.
Track Search F/R
In the case of CD, it searches a track displayed in a direction of FWD/REV and pauses.
[SEARCH] is displayed in the drive condition indication section.
*: A track search is disabled in CD-ROMs (MP3/AAC/WAV/AIFF).

In the case of DVD, whenever the FWD/REV is pressed, the search starts with the following direction and pauses.
When the FWD direction was pressed when a DUAL LAYER DISC is in the deck.
→ L0 inside → L0 middle → L0 outside → L1 inside → L1 middle → L1 outside →
When the REV direction was pressed when a DUAL LAYER DISC is in the deck.
← L0 inside ← L0 middle ← L0 outside ← L1 inside ← L1 middle ← L1 outside ←
When the FWD direction was pressed when a SINGLE LAYER DISC is in the deck.
→ L0 inside → L0 middle → L0 outside →
When the REV direction was pressed when a SINGLE LAYER DISC is in the deck.
