Fiber Type

In [Fiber Type] you can set up a cleave mode based on the information for fibers listed in
the table below. Select the closest cleave mode to the fiber to be cleaved.

125/250
400/530
660/1440

How to select the Cleave Mode
[BASIC]
If a cleave mode for your fiber does not exist, select this mode and optimize the
cleave parameters for cleaving your fiber.
[125/250] etc
These modes are named using the system: (Cladding Diameter) / (Buffer or
Coating Diameter). These modes are to cleave the corresponding diameter of
fiber.
[PCF] [CAPILLARY] etc
These modes are to cleave PCF (Photonic Crystal Fiber) and Capillary Tubing.
Description
This option will erase the cleave mode parameters.
This mode should be used to optimize cleaving parameters
according to the fiber. Some parameters will be adjusted
automatically by [Cleave Diameter] or [Left / Right Clamp Diameter].
This cleave mode can cleave 125μm clad / 250μm coated fiber.
This cleave mode can cleave 400μm clad / 530μm coated fiber.
This cleave mode can cleave 660μm clad / 1440μm coated fiber.
This cleave mode can cleave 220μm clad / 350μm coated PCF.
