Standard interface for serial devices. This port is sometimes
referred to as the serial port.

serial printer
A printer with a serial interface.
software
Programs that run on a computer such as operating systems,
word processors, and spreadsheets.
SVGA
Super Video Graphics Array. Graphics technology that
supports up to 256 colors and a graphics resolution of 1024
by 768 pixels.
system board
The main printed circuit board inside the system unit into
which other boards and major chip components, such as the
system microprocessor, are connected.

Thin Film Transistor. A type of NEC Versa LCD color
screen that supports 256 colors.
