Chapter 6 : Using the Printer

Loading Paper into the Multi-purpose Tray

1. Squeeze and pull to open the front cover.The
Multi-purpose tray then drops down.
2. Pull on the tray tab to fully extend the Multi-
purpose tray.

3. Select a stack of the print media you want to
feed through the tray.
Make sure you do not exceed the paper
capacity of the tray:
•80 sheets of paper
•40 sheets of transparencies or labels
4. Fan the stack before loading it into the tray.
See page 6–9.
5. Arrange the stack so the side to be printed
faces up.
6. Slide the stack along the left side of the Multi-
purpose tray and underneath the plastic tab.
7. Slide the paper stack all the way into the tray.
The stack stops when it reaches the feed roll
area of the Multi-purpose tray.
