1. The TAP ID may be incorrect. Call your service provider and ask them to
send you a test message. This can help determine if the problem lies with
your service provider, or if you are using an invalid Pager ID number.
2. The message is too long. To make it shorter, try shortening the server name
to less than 16 characters (for services that support 80 character messages).
3. Your service is currently not accepting messages. Try to send your message
later.

Remote Client

I cannot log into Integrated RA from the remote client.
Use the Configuration Utility to configure the baud rate, the connection, and add
an administrator login name. Press Enter several times to get the attention of the
Integrated RA.
Are you entering the correct password? The login name and password are case
sensitive.
I am using an HP OmniBook with a direct serial connection to the server, but am
unable to get the login prompt.
The serial cable provided with the OmniBook is not a null modem cable. See the
section, "Configuring a Null Modem Cable," in Chapter 3 for information on
configuring a serial cable for Integrated RA communications.
The session is abruptly terminated while I am dumping the event log over a direct,
high-speed serial connection to the server with the minimal null modem
configuration (see Figure 3-4).
The minimal null modem configuration bypasses hardware handshaking and must
not be used at higher baud rates. (When pcAnywhere requests to stop sending data
at high speeds are ignored, it terminates the session.)
I seem to be missing a line of text when using console redirection.
This is to be expected when the Integrated RA terminal settings are configured for
24-line display. If possible use a terminal emulator (like pcAnywhere) that
supports 25-line mode.
During console redirection my screen gets out of synch.
This can happen when Integrated RA is configured for 25-line mode but the
terminal emulator only supports 24 lines.
