OPTIONAL SETTINGS
Setting 8: TEUFAX AUTO CHANGEOVER
Press
"1"
(YES) to have your fax detect whether incoming calls are voice calls or
fax transmissions in FAX reception mode. Press "2" (NO) to turn the function off.
Factory setting: "2"
SeHing 9: PSEUDO RINGING DURATION
This sets the duration of pseudo ringing when Tel/Fax Auto Changeover is turned
on. Press "1" for 15 seconds or "2" for 30 seconds.
Factory setting: "1"
Setting 10: A.M. CONNECTED
Press "l" (YES) if an answering machine is connected to the fax, or "2" (NO) if not.
Factory setting: "2"

Setting 11: QUIET DETECT TIME
This sets the duration of silence (in seconds) after which the fax will take over the
line and begin reception when an answering machine is connected. Enter a number
from "01" to "1O".or enter "00" to turn off the function. (See Chapter 4 for more
details.)
Factory setting: "M"
Setting 12: FAX RX A.M. FAILS
Press "1" (YES) to have the fax answer a call if an answering machine connected to
the fax does not answer within 5 rings. Press "2" (NO) to turn the function off. (This
setting is described in more detail in "Optional Settings" in Chapter 4.)
Factory setting: "2"
Setting 13: PAPER SAVE
This reduces the vertical length of documents received, allowing you to save paper.
Enter a number from "1" to "3" as follows ("S" will appear highlighted in the display
while Paper Save is turned on):
"l" (MODE 1): Reduce only the white spaces between lines.
"2" (MODE 2): Reduce the entire document by 50°'0(only when standard
resolution is used).
"3" (NO): No Paper Save
