1-7-2. HKDV-507/507D

By installing the HKDV-507/507D HD pull down board in the unit, the 1125/23.976 PsF (or 1125/24
PsF) HD video signal is converted to 1125/29.97i (or 1125/30i) HD video signal, and output as HD SDI
signal.

. When the HKDV-507/507D is already installed in the unit, install the HKDV-501A board to the fifth
slot from rear.
. When this unit HDW-F500 is operated on 29.97 PsF/30 PsF/25 Psf, the output signal (PULL DOWN
OUT connector on the connector panel) of HKDV-507/507D will be muted.
However, the output signal is fed to the down converter board (HKDV-501A).

Installing Procedure

Turn OFF the power switch before beginning.
Check that the HD SDI output picture of this unit is normal first.
If abnormal, repair or adjustment is required.
1. Remove the upper lid.
2. After loosening the screw completely, remove the board retainer (S).
3. Connect the end of the sub harness (PD-MD) to the connector CN103 (the forth connector from rear)
on the motherboard of the unit.
4. Connect the other end of the sub harness to CN2 on the side A of the PD-94/107 board.
5. Insert the PD-94/107 board in the unit with side A facing the front.

After inserting the PD-94/107 board, press the two eject levers simultaneously from the top to connect the
board to the connector of the motherboard firmly.
