06. SCSI HDD TEST checks the HDD functions connected to the SCSI-Bus through
ASPI driver software. Before starting the test, select the following parameters.
HOST ID NUMBER
SCSI ID NUMBER
CHANNEL NUMBER
- 01. Sequential address read subtest is a sequential reading of all the blocks on the
HDD starting at block 0.
- 02. Connection subtest reads the logical sector at the end of the HDD and then
recognizes if the drive is connected or not.
NOTE: The 01. SEQUENTIAL ADDRESS READ tests all area of the hard disk
drive. Depending on the capacity of the installed hard disk drives, the test may take
a few hours.
If you do not know where the hard disk drives are connected (host ID, SCSI ID and
channel number of the SCSI controller), you can find them 01. INQUIRY of 09.

HW Diagnostics Program Main Menu
Sets the target host adapter number. When you
choose "ALL", the subtest tests all disks connected
to the server, and the next options, SCSI ID and
CHANNEL number will be ignored.
Sets the SCSI ID to test. You can specify just one ID
to test except ID:7.
If the server has multiple SCSI channels, this option
sets the channel number to test.
