b) Put AL and G1 back in their original positions.
Then switch AR and G1.
If the indicator lamp is lit with a solid green light,
then the break is somewhere on the boundary
wire between AR and the point where the guide
wire is connected to the boundary wire (thick black
line in the illustration).
4. a) Assume that the indicator lamp is lit with a solid

green light in test 3a) above. Reset all connections
to their original positions. Then disconnect AR.
Connect a new loop wire to AR. Connect the other
end of this new loop wire somewhere at the centre
of the installation.
If the indicator lamp is green, then the break is
somewhere in the wire between the disconnected
end to the point where the new wire is connected
(thick black line in the illustration).
