starts the redundant power supplies. If the total power is still insufficient, the system does not
supply power to the interface card.
When the power is insufficient because a power supply fails or is removed:
If power supply management is disabled, the power supplies perform self hardware protection.
If power supply management is enabled, the system starts redundant power supplies as
configured. If no redundant power supply is available, the system starts self hardware
protection.
To enable power supply management in standalone mode:
Step

Enter system view.
2.
Enable power supply
management.
3.
Specify the number of
redundant power supplies.
To enable power supply management in IRF mode:

Enter system view.
2.
Enable power supply
management.
3.
Specify the number of
redundant power supplies.

Powering on/off a card

You can manually power on or off cards to adjust the available power. The power supply status can be
displayed with the display power-supply command.
To power on or off a card in standalone mode, execute one of the following commands in user view as
appropriate:
Task
Power on a card.
Power off a card.
To power on or off a card in IRF mode, execute one of the following commands in user view as
appropriate:
