(6) Remove the CIS flat cable cover and the harness cover by inserting the tip of a flat
screwdriver into the slots (indicated by arrows in the figure below) and lifting up those
covers. For easier removal, start from the rear and finally pull out the tabs.
Note: When removing the harness cover, turn the scanner cover support upright for easier
removal.
