Introduction

This section details the procedure for changing the IP Address of History Embedded
Data Collector Node and History Server.

History Embedded Data Collector Nodes

The detection of the change in IP Address in DCN is automatic.
In case of DCN node containing multiple IP Addresses, the primary one that is used
by the IP stack for History Server communication is used.
Steps to be performed on History Embedded Data Collector Nodes:

Appendix A IP Address Change

Change the IP Address of the DCN.
If NAT (Network Address Translation) is applied in router between DCN and
History Server, follow
When NAT is applied in the router between the DCN and History Server, the
applicable IP address to be used for connecting to the DCN from History
Server should be defined by using a configuration parameter
P_MYIPFORMAIN. This parameter needs to be defined manually:
a.
In DCN computer, go to Start > Run and type notepad
%app_root%\setup\app_query_configuration_getparameter_P_MYI
PFORMAIN.bat.
b.
Click Yes to create a new file.
c.
Type the following in the opened file:
@echo "P_MYIPFORMAIN=IP_Address_of_DCN"
