Appendix F Password Update Procedure
This section describes the steps that have to be followed on the History Server and
Data Collector when the Database Admin User Password is changed.
This section does not include the procedure to change the password of the source
historian that the Data Collector is collecting from.
Please make sure that the password of the Windows User account, used of Database
Admin, is already changed.
Contact Microsoft for the detailed procedure on changing the password of Windows
User account.
Password Update Procedure on the History Server:
Perform the following steps to update the History Server with the new Password.

Login to the History Server with the installation user.
Stop the RTDB Services.
Navigate to Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager.
Edit and Update Generic Credentials with the new password for
CPIMS/ADMIN, CPIMS/DBADMIN.
Perform the following steps to reinstall the RTDB services.
a.
Open a Command Prompt (enter cmd in the Run... dialog) and run the
following command to remove the existing services.
b.
Enter "Y" when asked for confirmation.
c.
After successful removal, run the following command to install services.
