Disk drive status LEDs

The expansion unit has two LEDs that are built into the unit chassis above
each disk drive slot. These LEDS, which are shown in the following figure,
indicate the status of the drive that is installed in the slot below them.

Description
ALarM LED (red)
Lights when the drive has a
serious error.

ACTive LED (green)
Lights or flashes when the drive is

operating and is being read from or
written to. It indicates that the disk
drive is operational.
