CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION

1. PURPOSE

This manual describes details of the installation and data programming for the Message Center Interface (MCI)
of the NEAX2000 IVS (PBX).

2. OUTLINE OF THE MANUAL

This manual consists of five chapters. The contents of chapters 2 through 5 are described below.
• Chapter 2, SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:
This chapter explains the system outline and the system configuration required to provide the MCI.
• Chapter 3, INSTALLATION:
This chapter explains the procedure for the hardware installation required to provide the MCI.
• Chapter 4, SYSTEM DATA PROGRAMMING:
This chapter explains the procedure for the system data programming required to assign the MCI.
• Chapter 5, SPECIFICATIONS:
This chapter explains the MCI characteristics and the data transmission protocol.
