Lemon chicken

Ingredients:
• 1 whole chicken
• 1 apple, peeled and sliced
• 1 celery stalk, cut into strips
• 1 onion, diced
• Zest and juice of a lemon
• 1/2 tsp dried or fresh rosemary,
chopped
• 225 ml hot water
• Salt and pepper
Preparation:
1. Rub salt and pepper all over the out-
side of the bird.
2. Put the apple and celery into the body
cavity.
3. Place the chicken in the cooking pot
with the breast uppermost.
4. Sprinkle it with the onion, rosemary
and lemon zest.
5. Sprinkle it with hemon juice.
6. Pour in the hot water.
7. Cook it for about 1 h on "HIGH".
8. Then switch to "LOW".
9. Cook for about 6 to 8 h until the meat
is really tender.
10. About once an hour, briefly lift the lid
and baste the chicken with the sauce.
Tips:
• You can also use garlic in this dish.
Braise it lightly together with the onion.
• You can also use chicken stock instead
of water to get a more flavoursome
sauce.
• Shortly before serving, you can place
the chicken on a baking tray and grill it
for 5 to 15 minutes. This will make the
skin brown and crisp.

Tasty lentil stew

Ingredients:
• 400 g lentils, washed and drained
• 1 can of tomatoes in pieces (or 400 g
fresh tomatoes, skinned and diced)
• 1 l beef stock
• 450 ml water
• 1 carrot cut into small pieces
• 1 celery stalk or 150 g celeriac,
chopped
• 750 g strongly flavoured sausage, such
as cabanossi or krakowska (krakauer),
sliced
Preparation:
1. Put all the ingredients in the cooking
pot.
2. Put the lid in place.
3. Cook on "HIGH" for about 3 h, on
"AUTO" for about 5 h, or on "LOW"
for about 6 - 7 h.

Clean the device prior to its first use!

before you clean the device.

Allow all the parts to cool down before
cleaning.
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
Do not use any astringent or abrasive
cleaning agents.
• Clean the device after each use and re-
move all food residues.

10.1 Cleaning the base

1. Clean base 5 with a damp cloth. A lit-
tle washing-up liquid may also be
used.
