Removing a disk drive

Before beginning the procedure to add or remove a disk drive, ensure that
the prerequisites listed on the previous pages have been met.
1. If you have not already done so, put on an Anti-static wrist strap.
2. Lift the blue lock tab to unlock the lock lever and pull the lock lever
outward. As you do this, the lever pulls the drive out of the unit and
unplugs it from the connectors inside the unit.
3. Holding the disk drive, as shown in
modular 2U SAS expansion unit), carefully slide the disk drive out of the
unit and place it in a static protective bag.
4. Follow the instructions below to install a replacement disk drive.
