5.1

General

The tool management software package is divided into two areas: basic functions and
functions that can be called up and initialized by the user, if required. The blocks called by the
user PLC program are described below.
The function blocks FB 117 "Create magazine table" and FB 123 "Tool selection on T change
signal" are not described here. Both blocks are initialized automatically via machine data and
called unconditionally by the user. FB 117 "Create magazine table" is called in startup OB 20.
FB 123 "Tool selection T change signal" is called in OB 1. FB 139 "Data distributor", which
will be described in Section 6.1.8, is also called in OB 1.
The function blocks must not be initialized via data blocks. Flag bytes
FY 224 to FY 255 must not be used for parameter assignment.
