Chapter 2 Preparations
(b) 2.5-inch Hard Disk Drive model
1. Refer to Chapter 2 (1.3 Overview of Installation and Removal) for preparations.
2. Refer to Chapter 2 (1.6 Removing the Top Cover) to remove the top cover.
3. Remove the two screws on the front and
the two screws securing the optical disk
drive tray, and pull the tray out.
4. Remove the optical disk drive cover.
5. Unscrew and remove the bracket
securing the Hard Disk Drive of the tray
which you pulled out in step 3.
6. Install the optical disk drive.
7. Screw the bracket securing the optical
disk drive.
8. Insert the optical disk drive and put the
bracket you removed in step 3 back and
screw it to fix it in place.
Important
Keep the screw and dummy tray in the optical disk drive for future use.
