5 Display panel
This shows the operating state of the unit, and also
error codes in the event of a problem.

ERROR
DOOR
I/O
BUSY
POWER
DOWN

SET
Indicators
POWER: This lights green when the POWER
switch is on.
BUSY: This lights orange when the elevator is
transporting a cassette or the elevator hand is
inserting or unloading a cassette.
I/O: This lights green when control signals are being
received from the host computer.
DOOR: This lights orange when the front door is
open.
ERROR: This flashes red when there is a problem
in the unit.
Brightness control
Use this to adjust the brightness of the LCD panel
according to the ambient lighting conditions.
UP/DOWN keys
Use these to change the value of the menu item
displayed in the LCD panel. To confirm the current
setting, press the SET key.

Press this to confirm the current setting selected with
the UP/DOWN keys.

Brightness control
SELECT key
This selects the menu item displayed.
There are six menu items, as shown in the following
table.
0 Main display
This shows the operating state of the DMS-B9WD/WS
unit.
1 Tape streamer indication
This shows the operating state of the tape streamer
mounted in this unit.
2 SCSI ID indication for this unit.
>SCSI ID X Y (X: ID for the DMS-B9, Y: ID for the
GY-2120)
3 Maintenance displays
T1: Total powered-on hours of the unit
T2: Number of elevator transports to carry cassettes
(bin to/from tape streamer or bin-to-bin)
T3: Number of insertion or unloading strokes of
cassette on elevator stage into/out of bin or tape
streamer
T4: Total number of times hand has tried to grasp
cassette
T5: Number of insertions of cassette into GY-2120
series tape streamer
T6: Hours meter of the tape streamer
T7: Number of retries while unit is operating
4 Self-diagnosis menu (for servicing use only)
5 Maintenance menu
>Mt: Cleaning (cleaning of the tape streamer)
>Mt: DrvRcver (recovery on the tape streamer in an
emergency)
>Mt: Eject (eject on the tape streamer in an
emergency)
