Special Eject Auto Cleaning operation

The DMS-B9 automatically starts a cleaning operation when the following
conditions are satisfied, and performs the procedure described below.
•The Special Eject Auto Cleaning function is set to ON on the DMS-B9.
•The DMS-B9 is in >IN USE status.
If the door is open, the cleaning operation does not begin.
•The tape streamer enters the special eject status.
">Auto cleaning .." is displayed on the LCD panel during the special eject
operation.

The tape is ejected from the tape streamer and returned to the original
bin.
If the original bin number is not identified (for example a tape has
already been inserted in the tape streamer with the door closed), the
tape is placed in an empty bin.

A cleaning tape is inserted in the tape streamer.
The tape in the bin designated with the software switch (CSTM) bit 4
through 7 is used.
In the following cases, the operation stops and auto cleaning mode is
terminated. To continue the special eject operation on the tape
streamer, open the door of the DMS-B9, and execute the special eject
manually following the indications in the display window of the tape
streamer. Then take the necessary actions referring "Actions when the
operation is interrupted."
•If the bin designated with the software switch (CSTM) is empty,
">[W] RQ CL TAPE" or "
operation stops.
•If the cassette in the bin designated with the software switch (CSTM)
is an S-size cassette but not a cleaning cassette, ">[W] RQ CL
TAPE" or "
C" appears on the display panel when it is inserted in the

tape streamer, and the operation stops.

After cleaning is completed, the cleaning tape is returned to the
original bin, and the previously ejected tape is inserted in the tape
streamer.
If the tape is not reloaded normally, ">[W] Auto CL FAIL" or "
appears on the LCD panel, and the operation stops. This is an error on
the tape streamer. Refer to the Operation Manual for the tape streamer.
Notes
•If the door's key switch is set to the "Opened" position in the auto
cleaning mode, the cleaning operation is interrupted and the door opens.
•If the door is opened during an auto cleaning operation, then closed, the
cleaning operation is interrupted but not restarted.
•If the operation is interrupted during a request for a cleaning tape, ">[W]
C" appears on the LCD panel, while if the operation
RQ CL TAPE" or "

is interrupted during a request of the original tape, ">[W] RQ FM TAPE"
