<Restrictions on the basic unit>
(1) The modules mounted on the basic unit should have the same configuration in the
primary (P) and secondary (S) systems.
(2) The controller module mounted on the S0 slot is able to access G2 I/O modules.
Mount the controller module for duplex system (S2PU82 or S2PU72D) on the S0
slot.
(3) Mount the duplexing interface (IF619) on a slot S1 to S4.
(4) Mount the expansion interface (IF661) on the leftmost slot specially provided for the
expansion interface, and set "0" as the unit address.
(5) I/O module cannot be mounted on the basic unit.
<Restrictions on the expansion unit>
(1) Mount the expansion interface for duplex system (IF658) on expansion unit #1 (the
first layer expansion unit). The slots on which the expansion interface can be
mounted are shown in the table below.

(2) Do not mount the expansion interface (IF661) on the first (#1) layer expansion unit.
(The unit address is fixed to "1.") Mount the unit cover (SP601) on the leftmost
expansion interface slot.
(3) Mount the expansion interface (IF661) on the second and third (#2 and #3) layers
expansion unit, and set "2" and "3" as the relevant unit addresses.
Slots S5 to S8 on the main base BU648E and slot S0 on the expansion base BU668 are not
available. Be sure to mount the space module (SP600) on these slots. The space slot should
also be mounted on all vacant slots.
