2.2 Installation Area
2.2.1

Location Requirements

• The library was designed for rack installation and must be installed using the provided rack rails.
Installation on a table top or other similar surface could result in library operation errors.
• The library is a heavy load. Please note the height of the installing position so that the rack should not
fall by weight.
• Select a rack with access to the host server.

dust, printers, and smoke-filled rooms

Excessive dust and debris can damage tapes and tape drive
