Check Before Starting

CAUTION: In the interest of safety, put Forward/
Reverse selector switch (5) in its OFF position prior to
starting the engine.
1. Ensure that the battery disconnect switch is in the ON
position.
2. Check that both forward/reverse lever (2) and forward/
reverse switch (6) are in the neutral (N) position and
neutral lever lock (3) is in the LOCK position.

NOTE: Unless forward/reverse lever (2) and forward/reverse
switch (6) are in neutral (N), the engine will not start.
3. Push parking brake switch (1) and check that parking
brake switch (1) is in the ON position.
After the engine starts and checking indicator bulbs
(refer to page 3-5), check that the parking brake indicator
is ON.
4. Check that control lever (4) is in the neutral (N) position.
