Avoid Applying Heat to Lines Containing
Flammable Fluids
 Do not weld or flame cut pipes or tubes that contain
flammable fluids.
 Clean them thoroughly with nonflammable solvent
before welding or flame cutting them.
Precautions for Handling Accumulator and Gas
Damper
High-pressure nitrogen gas is sealed in the accumulator and
the gas damper. Inappropriate handling may cause explosion,
possibly resulting in serious injury or death.
Strictly comply with the following items:
 Do not disassemble the unit.
 Keep the units away from open flames and fire.
 Do not bore a hole, do not cut by torch.
 Avoid giving shocks by hitting or rolling the unit.
 Before disposing the unit, sealed gas must be released.

Precautions for Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)

 Diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), commonly referred to as
AdBlue®, is an aqueous urea solution used as a consumable
in selective catalytic reduction (SCR) to lower NOx
concentration in the exhaust emissions from the engine.
It is a non-flammable and non-hazardous solution, and
harmful effects are not expected under normal conditions
of use.
 In case of a fire, DEF would decompose and generate
ammonia gas when heated to 160 °C (320 °F) or higher.
Ammonia gas may cause lung injury and potentially is fatal
if inhaled. It is a corrosive gas and the liquefied gas can
cause frostbite and corrosive injury to eyes and skin.
In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of
water at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated
clothing. Get medical attention if symptoms occur.
 DEF is corrosive to steel, aluminium, copper and brass, etc. If
DEF is spilled on your vehicle, wipe off and rinse with water.
 For the handling of DEF, follow handling precautions on
Material Safety Data Sheet. Have suitable emergency
equipment for fires, spills and leaks readily available.
Practice good housekeeping. Maintain handling equipment.
Comply with applicable regulations.
